It was apparent from the beginning that the Fire came to the Elite 7v7 event in shape and ready to not only compete but to win. It was a long day of 7v7 football, it was hot and it took its' toll on most of the field, but the Fire had no problem adapting to the conditions and out played their opponent.
At the presentation of the Championship Trophy, Glenn Stoutt (Director of Operations) addressed the coaches and team and said,'It was a pleasure having such a highly talented and disciplined team in our tournament. It showed that the coaches demanded respect and integrity in your performance. Congratulations to the coaching staff for having such a well disciplined team of players that showed their championship character on and off the field.'
Winning the Tournament automatically qualified the Fire for the State Championship on June 6th at McArthur High School in Hollywood, Florida.
