The Evaluation, Awareness, Readiness (E.A.R.™) Guide |
E.A.R.™ is a key component of the KDA™ College & Career Awareness Criteria and is required for all Fulfillment Programs to follow. |
The College & Career Awareness- Evaluation, Awareness, Readiness (E.A.R™) Guide is to provide potential Fulfillment Programs a criteria on how they can help facilitate College & Career Awareness Programs for Students ranging from the ages 14-25 whether in High School, attending College or Vocational School. The Programs must align with Identifying/Evaluating issues while Implementing/Providing practical solutions with likely outcomes.
The aim of this guide is to help support and encourage goal-oriented programs, with a step-by-step process, on how they can work together with KDA’s Fulfillment Programming.
Timeframe
The process is aligned with the academic calendar and is implemented during the course of the school year. Specific steps are taken during defined periods, recurring or continuous, so that the process of reviewing early-warning data and identifying appropriate support strategies and interventions is timely and responsive to individual student needs. In the longer term, the process allows ongoing evaluation and revision across academic years to ensure that it achieves maximum efficiency and efficacy in the local context. Table 2 provides an example of an implementation process during a single school year.
